Whether it comes from fans, critics, or fellow musicians, much praise has  been lavished upon Danny Kravitz and his music. But it was a comment from his longtime collaborator and recording engineer Mat Prock, made right before stepping out onto a stage he was sharing that night with singer/song writer Shawn Colvin, that Danny recalls as meaning more to him than all the others. Talking about mixing records, Danny had said,  "If only I could mix as well as you Mat, then I'd be dangerous," Mat, a world-class producer, and engineer, who credits range from Kenny Loggins to Kanye West, titled his head down, look up with wide eyes and said, "Dude, you're already dangerous."  Danny has worked with Mat since the very early years of his professional career, first making records together at Chicago's famed Hinge Studios. It was from those all night recording and mixing sessions, with players such as Todd Sucherman, Wayne Stewart, Rafe Bradford, Peter Hennes, and Orbert Davis, that Danny has grown from raw, singer/songwriter to the masterful performer, recording artist and producer that he is today.   So after Mat's reassurance, Danny went out proceeded to slay the audience,  mesmerizing the packed crowd with only his voice, an acoustic guitar, and that craft he has developed over a lifetime of searching for those gorgeous, blissful moments of musical and lyrical perfection.  In many ways, Danny seems driven by that alone. The sharing it with others, that gift of connecting, that is extra for him, a reward he has never expected or taken for granted.   Singer/songwriter/producer Danny Kravitz is a true Renaissance artist. A multi-instrumentalist, and a respected producer, musician and lyricist, Kravitz has both thrilled and touched deeply the hearts of his listeners as one who often transcends genres to share something that's powerful, original, and often extraordinary. With his own unique musical voice, his songs, like many great artists, are recognizable right away as his - before they are heard as pop, folk-pop, rock, country, acoustic, or any of the other styles they ventures into. As a songwriter and producer, he creates fun, catchy, melodic, well as gorgeous and emotion-filled music.  He's also undeniably gifted as a lyricist, a notably rare combination.  The stories and themes emerging from  Danny's lyrics are as tender as they are powerful,  profound, and captivating. His songs are insightful and glaringly honest. Even the poppiest of his songs have moments of truth that elevate them. They will transport you, delight you, and they will always move you. And then there is his voice. Danny sings with a stunning combination of tone and craft....it's a beautiful instrument in its own right.   Kravitz started as a singer/songwriter growing up in Cleveland Ohio. At the University of Wisconsin Madison, Danny performed regularly as a solo acoustic artist and began making recordings at Butch Vig's Smart Studios. After moving to Chicago, Danny began more full-time work as a musician, session singer, and songwriter. He wrote for other artists while interning at production houses and performing at night. Soon he got his first record deal with Producer Butch Stewart's Copia Records.  Working together Butch not only introduced Danny to Chicago's top session players, but also to Opera singer and sought-after vocal coach Doug Susu Mago. Soon Danny added opera and classical singing to his musical palette.    After establishing himself in Chicago, Kravitz flourished both within the mainstream music industry, and the indie-artist scene. Whether as a collaborator or band member, in his early career Kravitz worked with or shared the stage with legendary musical acts including Grammy Award-winner Alan Parsons, multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning and Oscar-nominated singer/songwriter/musician Jim Peterik, members of Survivor, the ldes of March, Kelly Keagy of Night Ranger, Kip Winger, country act Blackhawk, jazz great Orbert Davis, legendary Chicago producer Butch Stewart, producer/musician Craig Bauer, Styx Drummer Todd Sucherman, bass demigod Rafe Bradford, among many, many other accomplished players and singers.  Danny was also a sought-after studio session singer. Danny's music has been featured on worldwide radio, including the BBC, Chicago's WXTR, WGN AM 720, and nationally televised CW's WGN America Midday Show. Danny's music has also been featured in numerous commercials and multiple short and feature films. Kravitz's songs have also been recorded by other artists. He has worked under various Nashville publishing deals. One composition, Is This Love, was recorded by up and coming country/pop artist Jessica Kenney for her debut CD. A country single Kravitz penned called 'The Bigger the Wheels' was recorded by country artist Brandon Maddox and was awarded  "THE MONSTER TRUCK NATIONALS COUNTRY SONG OF THE YEAR" in 2014. The track was featured at monster truck shows, country radio stations, and TV shows and live performances across the country. Broadway legend Karen Mason, of Mamma Mia! and recently off of her national tour in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Love Never Dies,” released Danny's stunning ballad "Believe in Love," in November of 2019.   A respected producer, Danny often plays all of the instruments on his records. He has hit the Top 200 iTunes Best Selling Albums and Amazon’s Top 100 charts for his production and collaboration efforts.  Kravitz has worked on multiple projects with singer Dave Gallagher, and also produced Mason's  "Believe in Love," release. Danny also just completed a soon-to-be-released collaboration with Platinum selling songwriter/pianist Jim Brickman.   Beginning in 2018 Danny has been performing select solo acoustic shows. And this past summer he did an opening stint for 3-time Grammy winner, singer/songwriter Shawn Colvin.   Danny is presently at work on a new album release.  -BD 2019
